Olive groves and rolling hills in Umbria

Surroundings

Umbria and Tuscany

Hillocks of olive trees, a medieval town on each hilltop and a piazza for an espresso everywhere. Casa Tre Pettirossi is located right in the middle of it, in the hills near Mantignana, between Perugia and Lake Trasimeno.

Here are our favorite day trips, with the travel time by car from our house. If you stay longer, Florence and Rome are also great day trips.

Spring and autumn are perhaps our most beautiful seasons: green and blooming in May and June, wine, olives and truffles in the fall. And quieter and more affordable than the heart of summer.
