Palazzo dei Priori and the Fontana Maggiore on Piazza IV Novembre in Perugia

Perugia

About 15 minutes

Perugia is a hilltop city full of students, alleyways and views. You ride in on a little train, stroll along the Corso and end the day with gelato or a glass of wine on the cathedral steps.

  • Pian di Massiano car park (Minimetrò)15 minutes
  • Piazza Partigiani (escalators)15 minutes
  • Perugia Airport25 min

Getting into the center

The old center is closed to visitors’ cars (ZTL), and that’s a good thing. Park at Pian di Massiano and hop on the Minimetrò: small automatic carriages that carry you up the hill every few minutes (last stop Pincetto). Or park at Piazza Partigiani and ride the escalators up through the underground streets of the Rocca Paolina.
