Is it what I expected?

The family in front of the green door of one of the stone buildings

Sooo? It’s brilliant which doesn’t mean it’s a walk in the park. The positives first. It’s what I teach my girls so practise what you preach, right?

The place is pure magic. All shops and such are within 10 minute reach but here we are as far away from the world as can be. Deer, rabbits, boar, owls, foxes: we share this place and meet often.

The houses feel like home. No need to walk around with burning sage. The only exception is when I’m collecting the clean sheets at night when a toad shows his face.

Perugia is an amazing small city. Packed with students, vibrating those summer nights like there is no tomorrow.

But… the first crack is becoming visible. Better make that plural. The amount of work we have to do is enormous. Better to find out now than upfront (otherwise you don’t get yourself into a situation like this). So is your retired DIY dad or your unemployed handy sister or aunt going crazy at home? Do send them our way. 😂
