Learning Italian

Doing Italian homework together at the kitchen table

Learning Italian must be easy for you with your language skills. If only my language skills unfortunately don’t stretch beyond Dutch and English. All the other languages are just as hard for me to learn as it is for a Moroccan to learn Chinese. I’ve spent many hours on Duolingo and taking private classes but being able to have a proper conversation? No way.

The only thing that is going phenomenally good is my pronunciation because if Italian is one thing it is loud, theatrical and dramatic. Exactly my type of communicating! So bring on the deep campfire talks and heated discussions. But first things first: doing my homework and studying idioms which is quite a challenge when your head is full and your menopause brain is bugging you. Those girls though… I guess I have one month left before they catch up with me and start taking the piss at my mistakes.
